Balding is one of the world's most sensitive issues, particularly to men. And women also, but more so on men. Our society has developed this nearly obsessive desire to look good --- women (even teenagers) spends their time curling their hair, doing their make-up, choosing the skimpiest, most sexy outfit and attracting the most gorgeous of men. Men on the other hand also spends quality time doing their hair, and working out to buff up and impress the ladies with their Greek god bods.
Whether it is vanity or not, still, you can't blame those whose balding is taking its toll on their self-esteem. I mean, let's face it, not everyone looks good bald. Sure, there's Yul Brenner -- the hottest bald guy to have ever lived-- but there will always be that aspect about women, or people in general, to look at the person, at men in particular, by his entire appearance: a medium-built, nicely sculpted bod, thick-haired and slightly tanned guy is a picture of a healthy man. A slightly thinning hair, pot-bellied man is not. Right??
Well, thank God for Science, balding can be remedied (and as for pot-bellies, you can always get yourself a treadmill or a trainor to work-out with instead of a Roman Legion to beat you up senseless and work you out to death. Thank God again for modern times).
In New Jersey hair loss treatment is now available. It is not only affordable, it is probably not as painful as it was in the 70's, where hair surgical operation sounds similar to cutting skin without morphine injected into your ailing head. The hair transplant of today is a lot easier, quicker, and I bet safer.
Looking good is no longer impossible. It's just a matter of how willing you are to go for it. :)
Art / Basel / Miami Beach
My goodness! I would so love to go there and see for myself some of the finest works of installation, as well as 2D ART in the world!! George Lindemann Jr. (the Lindemanns seem to be everywhere. How many of them are there, I wonder?) is part of the committee and ambassadors of this Art Gallery, and it is so amazing to find heaps of beautiful works of Art in it, made more moving and intellectually stimulating by the location, which is just clse by the beautiful Miami Beach.
Ah, if I were to travel any part of the world, one of the first few places I'll be hitting are restaurants!
The experience won't be the same if you don't try out that place's food. For example, Nigella Lawson, whose favorite place is probably Tuscany always makes it a point to taste and savor the area's local specialty. It is never enough to just satisty one's visual hunger by visiting tourists spots, museums, art galleries, or garden parks. One must also tempt the palate to new tasting experiences and fill one's stomach.
Well, one of the first things you must do as you plan your holiday is to ask around, research, or log on to DiscoverSD.com for spectacular places to dine. You can then for example type in restaurants in San Diego, which will then lead you to the finest dining areas in San Diego where you can enjoy a nice luncheon or dinner with your family or friends. The site will also provide you with articles that recommends the best and tasty dishes that these restaurants provide. So that will give you enough preparation to know where to eat and to budget your meals. Sounds savvy?
Bon appetite!
Botox.
No one I know has ever tried it. I've always wondered how it works and after seeing Janice Dickinson being 'botox-ed' in her t.v. show Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, it was only then that my questions had been finally answered.
So it's basically an injection of some form of chemical into your forehead, or somewhere abouts. This then freezes your skin, which tightens it and therefore hides any trace or wrinkling in that area, making you look younger and... well, wrinkle-free. I don't know how much it costs. Probably about thousands of dollars. So far, only celebrities and socialites with fat purses had been privileged to use this anti-aging miracle. There's Nicole Kidman (whose eyebrows are a lot meaner than before), Demi Moore (who did a fantastic botox job it seems), Jessica Simpsons (whose eyes are wider because of botox), and Catherin Zeta-Jones (oh the beauty! She's still as beautiful as ever! Impressive maintenance).
But of course, I'm not sure anymore if it's as expensive at it was before. By now it's probably a lot more affordable to the common woman, particularly the middle class ones. The serum costs about $20 so... it shouldn't cost that much

This is absolutely amazing!! Raqib Shaw, a rather interesting artist, exhibits his works Garden of Earthly Delights X which is in some degrees disturbing and on some levels very impressive. He combines classical, traditional, ethnic and mordern ideas to his work, using a Buddhist theme as a template. At first glance you would think these are works of ancient Buddhist monks or something but look closer at the details and you see some very visually stimulating subjects impressively camouflaged in a classic theme.
George Lindemann once again makes a contribution to this by offering one of Shaw's works to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, which is currently being displayed at the Tate Britain Gallery of Art.
I really think it's a must see. If you're ever nearby the place, and are an Art enthusiast such as myself, do check it out and tell me what you think about it.
